“Empowering mothers, through the enrichment of Catholic Faith and friendships, to best serve our families, our parish, and our community.”
Since 2005, St. Francis of Assisi has offered the MOMS 8-week “Spiritual Journey” sessions. In 2011, our ministry expanded to serve moms year-round! We feature monthly speakers on faith and parenting, continuing study programs, retreats, parish-wide workshops, opportunities to give back to our parish and our community through charitable outreach, social events, and much more.
From September to May, we gather regularly in friendship and faith, to support each other in our roles as Catholic mothers. All meetings include a guest speaker, fellowship and food.
Designed to help the Christian Mother appreciate the sacredness of her role, these sessions are a great foundation for forming deeper friendships with mothers in a small group setting.
Offered each Spring and Fall, each series offers weekly 2-hour sessions that include scripture study, sharing and reflection time.
Every Mom needs support! This area includes Food Tidings, Childcare for MOMS meetings and the MOMS Library.
Each month, members are provided with a chance to give back in a charitable way within our parish and community.
In addition to providing spiritual growth and connections, we hope to help our moms build deeper connections in friendship and faith.

In 1992, the Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) began as an outreach of the Sisters of St. Benedict of St. Paul's Monastery in St. Paul, Minnesota. With the 8-week “Spiritual Journey” sessions, MOMS has called mothers of all ages to a spiritual awakening of the sacredness of our roles and our impact on culture and society. Over the past 20 years, MOMS has touched the lives of over 500,000 mothers in Catholic parishes and other denominations across the nation. Still today, MOMS is empowering women from the inside out for the transformation of society. The National Ministry closed in 2013, but the program lives on in churches nationwide.
